Everything you need to know about using ChainList.

Creating an Account

  1. 1Click "Sign In" in the top-right corner.
  2. 2Sign up with your email address — that's all we need.
  3. 3Your email is never shown to other users. All communication happens through our built-in messaging system.
  4. 4By signing up, you agree to our Terms & Conditions and acknowledge that all transactions occur at your own risk.

Posting a Listing

  1. 1Click "New Post" or "+ Post" in the header (you must be signed in).
  2. 2Select one or more blockchains your post relates to — this helps others find it via chain filters.
  3. 3Choose a category and subcategory.
  4. 4Write a clear title and description. For items, include price and condition.
  5. 5Upload up to 5 images for categories like For Sale, Services, Projects, etc.
  6. 6Hit "Publish Post" and your listing goes live immediately.

Finding Listings

  1. 1Browse by category from the homepage — Jobs, For Sale, Services, Gigs, and more.
  2. 2Use the chain filter pills on any page to narrow results to specific blockchains (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Base).
  3. 3You can select multiple chains at once — posts tagged with any of those chains will appear.
  4. 4Use the search bar on listing pages to find specific keywords.

Messaging & Communication

  1. 1Click "Message" on any listing to start a private conversation with the poster.
  2. 2All messages go through ChainList's built-in messaging — no personal info is shared.
  3. 3You'll get email notifications when you receive new messages.
  4. 4Check your inbox anytime by clicking "Messages" in the header.

Community Features

  1. 1Forum — Discuss anything web3. Pick a topic, tag chains, and join the conversation.
  2. 2Memes — Post and vote on crypto memes. Top memes rise to the top.
  3. 3Shill Spot — Promote your X Spaces, projects, or communities.
  4. 4Events — Browse hackathons, conferences, and meetups with a calendar view.

Reporting Content

  1. 1See something wrong? You can flag individual listings, posts, and comments directly using the report button on each item.
  2. 2For general issues, visit our Report page to send a detailed report to our support team.
  3. 3Content that receives multiple community reports is automatically hidden pending review.
  4. 4Our moderation team reviews all flagged content and takes action as needed.

Staying Safe

  1. 1Never share your wallet private keys, seed phrases, or passwords with anyone.
  2. 2ChainList will never ask you to connect your wallet or sign transactions.
  3. 3Be skeptical of deals that seem too good to be true — they usually are.
  4. 4Use escrow services or trusted middlemen for high-value transactions.
  5. 5All transactions between users are at your own risk. Do your own research (DYOR).
  6. 6If something feels off, report it immediately.

Account & Profile

  1. 1Your public profile shows your display name, reputation score, and recent activity.
  2. 2Other users can see your listings and community contributions — but never your email.
  3. 3Build trust by being active and maintaining positive interactions.
